    Default Can someone explain this?

I attacked three cities and had 2 totally different outcomes. Here's the facts...

    I attack city A

    13,500 AT
    500 DT
    Level 8 archery

I send in 80K archers with a hero attack of 129 and lose 30K archers.

I attack city B (owned by the same person)

    13,153 AT

I send in 62K archers, same hero, and lose 9K archers.

Then, I attack city C owned by someone else

    13,623 AT
    863 DT
    Archery level 8

I send in 50K archers and 35K warriors with a hero of 130 attack......AND I LOST IT ALL!!! I even lost the hero. this just makes me say wtf?

I have Med 9 for all attacks, I've had a penicillin, corselet, and war horn in effect for them all.

Well he just have opened his gates and also sometimes if your hero has a low loyalty, there is a 80% chance that you will lose it.

    gates weren't opened. hero's loyalty was 65 or 60

He has 13,623 towers... that's equivalent to approx 68k archers. You sent fewer archers. Despite him using no hero, and you having therefore a much better hero, you didn't send enough archers to overcome his greater volume of archers. So his towers shot your warriors to pieces and shot your archers to pieces. When you see towers, send AT LEAST 6x as many archers for some level of safety. If they have a larger defensive rainbow, even 6x is not a great enough ratio.

The first time, you sent enough archers... the second time, because of the absence of defensive trebs, you had just enough to give you the advantage. The third time.. far too few archers. 20k more archers and you'd have experienced similar results as the first two attacks.

That is the point where most people lose their hero... all my heros are in 100 loyalty so i wont lose them.

okay, but the fact that my archery is two levels higher should've compensated for using a little fewer archers

that's rediculous because that's not low. I'd understand if the loyalty was under 50, but not 60 or 65.

High loyalty heroes doesnt mean you wont lose your hero.

when a 100 loyalty hero loses a battle they lose 5 loyalty giving them 95. The game then chooses if you lose the hero or not.

even tho 5% may seem small, you still have a CHANCE to lose your hero.

    as for the archer assessment
your 1st attack was 80k archers vs 13.5k ATs and you won
your 3rd attack was 50k archers vs 13.6k ATs and you lost

because you have archery 10 to their archery 8 doesnt mean you have an edge over them. You forgot to take in account defenders gain range bonus from walls too. Unless the opponents you are attacking have level 0 walls they out range you
