Not everyone has speech texts, and prayin' knocks off 25 grievance and adds 5 loyalty. That's enough to cover attacks for the next fifteen minutes unless they're spammin' you from a mile away. Although you cannae pull back up to max loyalty, it prevents you bein' zero'd out and capped so long as you're online. Even a single warehouse against max privateerin', in the very least buys you time; time is all you need. Some folk will jus' stop attackin' as soon as they realise you're online; becomes much harder.
Hell, if you're about to get capped and reinforcements are a half hour away, that extra prayin' can mean the difference between crushin' defeat and a near-miss.
