Global Warming is a big hoax, it's true. Thank god for the hackers, they found e-mails to prove it wrong. If Global Warming is true, then why is it like 45 degrees in Virginia? Before we all go getting self-righteous defending whichever side of the multifaceted debate we find ourselves on....need I remind everyone that NONE OF US HAVE ANY IDEA WHAT WE'RE TALKING ABOUT? It's a shame that an issue as potentially devastating as climate change has been so politicized.

Do I believe everything I read about how bad global warming is going to be?

- No, 'cause it's mostly fear-mongering.

Have I personally seen a change in the Earth's climate in the past 25 years?

- Yes, a massive decline in yearly snowfall in Wisconsin which has caused a change in the mating habits of deer.

Anyone who lives in or near a major city knows that civilization has an effect.
You can see the cityglow of lights mixed with pollution.
It is always a few degrees warmer in the city than it is in open fields just a few miles away.
You cannot see the stars from within the cityglow as clearly as you can in the middle of nowhere.

We do have an effect on the environment. Period.
The extent to which our civilization effects the long term environment is what is debatable.
There is no actual single factor that is causing warming, and noone can definitely tell what portion of the change we are responsible for.

The entire "global warming" issue has an answer in the grey area.
There is definitely no black and white answer of yes or no.

A hacker recently released a very large number of personal e-mails from a leading climate science study group and a couple of those could be read in a way that raises some questions about certain things.
None of those e-mails "exposed climate change as a fraud". Please do your research better before you make big statements.

I didn't say we don't cause global warming.
I didn't say we do cause it.

We definitely effect the environment.
Various natural Earth cycles effect warming too.
The portion of the change we are responsible for is the unknown. We may be responsible for 10% or 90% of the warming. Or somewhere in between. Noone knows for sure.
