Beginner's Guide To Time Management & Enjoyment

Using a TIMER offers some relief for a game where 95% of your time can be spent just looking at your screen in a Purple Haze, which a lot of beginners do excepting those alliance drones.

I could of gone with "Hanging Sam" or wait to see "Poor Richard" have his head chopped off but I use lucky "Rubber Ducky" as I can AMP lucky's quaking on the speakers.

There are many Freeware, Gadgets, Apps downloads providing timers, countdowns, alarm clocks, multible-stopwatches in various shapes, models, colors to satisfy any personal taste.

Dserker, This is for starting an account on ANY server.

Lumber and iron are both expensive from the get-go, and if you balance from the start, each day a newbie log on, he will find what he needs to get himself started.

No need to waste your gold on iron when you really need it to get techs going.

I recommend something along the lines of this--start with 6 farms, two quarries (even though stone is cheap you DO need a start--the market isn't instantly there. In fact, you may never need one at all) and divide the rest into about two sawmills for every mine that you build.

Most things take up more lumber than iron at the start, and as you progress, you can take down the quarries, and maybe even some of the farms if you can plunder barbarian towns for the food.

But one thing that is wise not to do at the beginning is build all sawmills and be constantly out of everything else.

Because some pretty bad things can happen to your gold while you are gone. And if you have only sawmills, you can't get anything of the other stuff.

So build wisely, and prepare for the worst, because it just may happen to you.

(THIS IS A GUIDE FOR NEW PLAYERS. Things may or may not turn out for the best, and you need to prepare for both.

Vets do things differently for a reason. They know how to take a loss and recover in like 30 minutes tops.

It's hard to master having only one resource to work on for newer players, and that is the reason I present this in this fashion. Thank you.)

I saw you said to make sure to close the gates but I don't see that option to do that. I think i'm being attacked now and i don't know if they are closed or not but I don't see anything that says close the gate,
