    Using this type of logic means literally that we are not suppose to think at all while playing the game (though i believe some don') LOL But wow, talk about stretching the meaning of the terms of service.

    I think using mapping system or write the cood on the paper or spreadsheet is not cheating because it only helps us to identify the location of friends or enemy.

    Don't tell me TentPig you don't even memorize any of the coordinate in your brain? Why we can't use a better solution to mapping the coordinate when we have the ability to do it? (without cheating or whatsoever). I also found some distance and npc battle calculator on this forum, so is it consider as cheating too.

    That's what the Evony map view is for. Using an externnal source (such as pencil and paper is modifying 'the Evony experience' according to the terms of service, and constitutes 'cheating'.

    I have no idea what my cities coordinates are. I use the map view.

    External programs of any sort, or even memorization, is cheating, because you're modifying the Evony experience according to the Terms of Service.

    You really don't know what is your cities coordinates? Congratulation because you never do what you called as 'cheating' in this game. At first I want to release my mapping system to public so anyone can take an advantage on it or as a simple guide to locate the coordinate. But now I take it back because not everyone agree with this type of system. But I think only evony admin or moderator can categorized what stuff is consider as cheating.

    The only way Excelsheets, evolliance, or anything like those would be a violation of the TOS is if you recived information with the mediums. If Evolliance kept a log of all locations given and provided that to players, then that is a 3rd party data-base.

    You and your friends/alliance creating a database does not constitute use a 3rd party database. It is a 3rd party database when you start distributing it to people not involved with its creation.

    According to the Evony Terms of Service at

    http://www.evony.com/index.do?PageModule=Static&type=TandC

    Paragraph 2.1 states:

    You agree that you will not, under any circumstances:
    1. use cheats, automation software (bots), hacks, mods or any other unauthorized third-party software, databases or scripts designed to modify the Evony experience;

    I'd hate to see you folks get banned for using "unauthorized third-party software" and all...
    Actually, this is isn't considered against the rules, or at least it shouldn't be, because that would be crazily stupid.

    Many fansites use tools such as these....
    And tools like this only spark innovation and creativity... it doesn't give "an unfair advantage over other"....

    I believe this is totally in the realms of useful.
    Thanks for sharing and are you going to release it to the public?
