I referred you to the discussion in db's article because he doesn't attempt to explain flying cavalry with range increases at any point. You are misquoting him.
I've actually seen battle reports that more or less support the base range +200 theory. I've seen it in valleys and in cities; unless there are opposing cavalry, your cav can reach archers or archer towers in the first round and begin laying the smackdown instantly if there are no traps present. As soon as you throw ballista into the mix though, Cav strikes fail, in towns and valleys, because the starting range becomes too great for the cavalry to cover in one round. Hitting level 10 valley with just archers +layer results in archer deaths if it contains cav. I threw in 5k ballista, and only one pikemen dies while the defending forces get butchered.

The 'flying cavalry' phenomenon only occurs in specific circumstances, and largely occurs because the fastest combat unit acts first, with defenders favored over attackers where equal speeds are concerned.

If you post proof and reports then I may give this theory another go but I won't be wasting my time item farming cities when item farming NPCs is easier and faster.
How are you supposed to farm teleporters and adv/teleporters from npcs? They don't drop, as far as I know.

    I never once mentioned teleports.
Speakers, amulets and mich scripts fall. That's what I have received.
I've heard people mention winning teles but never got one myself.

Wait, so would that mean sending a scout bomb with 1 archer, 1 ballista, and 1 catapult would result in the scouts getting 4 attacks off instead of just one if it were just archers in the city?

Jaq, I thought you'd never make this guide!
Now, can you tone down the formulas a bit? Use a bit more commands, so we know what to do. Simplify it for us. I'm confused.

PS: This may only work on the older servers, to those of you distraught.
PPS: I think the "Who" principle applies to the Defender as well. I got an Amulet from someone who I know has 0 items.

No actually. The presence of any non-horseback unit actually prevents scouts from attacking for some odd reason. I've seen it on reports from lvl 10 valleys using cav/scouts on all archer valleys; in that instance the scout dies, it attacked first. But when adding in any non-horseback unit the scout doesnt die, it stays back for some odd reason. I don't quite remember how it went, but i think if engaged in melee ranged troops focus on their attacker, whatever it happens to be, instead of their normal priority.... i'm not certain however.

Thanks for such an informative thread on item farming Jag!

I don't ever think I'll have the capability of item farming, since I am relatively new to EVONY. But I'll still try my best to verify.

You really got good results, and I thoroughly believe what you presented.

    Thanks for all your tips.

Sorry, that's about as simple as I know how to write it, but someone else is writing a reference version.

I wouldn't worry about the "distraught." Personally, I found it rather ironic. When I was pulling items off of people in s31, I would get angry messages demanding I share my methods or accusing me of hacking or whatever. So then I finally release my item farming methods, and I get angry messages saying it'll never work and I shouldn't have posted it. =)

"Who" only applies to the defender. Your inventory doesn't matter. You got an npc roll on that player.

That's correct. Scouts are considered noncombatants when grouped with foot/siege units.

I don't know what these other people are saying.

I for one, understood this guide and can't wait to use it.
Looking at your website right now.

    Much respect

Are these troop honor points accurate?
