Relax. I'm not arguing against the fact that moving closer to your target will make you closer to your target. I would, however, like the definition to fit the word.

I'm leaning towards a broad definition of teletack/telattack - to include both forms of teleportation.

Nice work on the suggestions guys, we've already got a bunch of words to add:

    rainbow
    res
    rax
    rs
    rp
    (to) barb
    (to) wave
    (to) clean
    war spam
    teletack

I appreciate the suggestions Dethshock. How do you propose we separate them?

I generally refer to ponies as cavalry and horses as both cavalry and cataphracts. I've seen a lot of variation on these terms which is why I've defined them broadly. However, I could include a note within the definitions indication their most common use.

I've never seen this term used. Indeed, we'd generally call that a suicide wave, or warrior spam. Has anyone else seen the term used?

I think that one may be specific to our alliances Huri. We'll see if anyone else uses the term.

When I put the new words up, I'll credit you on the page. Do you have a link you'd like people to be able to see (following the guidelines in the op) by clicking your name?

The point of the Teletack is for a sort of shock affect. No, you won't be able to attack until 24 hours after you teleport, but once that is over you can smash your enemy to pieces with attacks that take much less time to get there, giving him much less time to prepare.

EDIT: I might put some common terms in there too, like 'Prestige', 'Honor', and 'Coords' to sort of show new players what the beans they are.

    to farm: v.
    1. to send repeated attacks after a successful spearhead in order to clear a city of resources.
    2. to attack NPCs, ie, a Level 5 city with 550 ballistae and 500 transporters to plunder resources, esp. food, usually to offset negative food production.
    3. to specifically send attacks in order to plunder food, esp. to offset negative food production.

    NPC (Non-Player City): n.
a "Barbarian City" with a specified amount of defenses, troops, and resources, with permanently open gates, which is "farmed" often for large quantities of food, and regenerates troops in 1 hour and resources in 6-12 hours, depending on level. Attacks on NPCs may drop medals.

    Coords: n.
The specific location of a city, valley, and/or player on the Evony map. The coordinates are the the format (x.y), with each location having a unique configuration on its own server (accessible by going to 'Map' and mousing over city).

    Prestige: n.
A point measurement system used as Evony's primary ranking system; gained mainly by building, recruiting troops, and by defeating valleys and NPCs (in some cases)

    Honor: n.
A point measurement system used as Evony's secondary ranking system; gained mainly by causing more costly casualties for enemy in an attack than own losses; has inverse relationship with Wounded Proportion.

    Rank: n.
A system of positions which allows a player to be Promoted in Title through Promotion Quest.

    Title: n.
A system of positions which allows a player to acquire or build a city. One title gain allows for one extra city slot.

    Valley: n.
Any non-player map location, which is manifested as Lakes, Grasslands, Swamps, Hills, Deserts, and Forests, each of which increase a specific resource's production by a specific amount, depending on the level of the valley; can be held by a player indefinitely, without any level change, or left free, which results in 1 Lv. gain every 24 hours (Lv. 10 becomes Lv. 1). Attacks on valleys may drop medals.

    to barb: v.
to build a city on a conquered x level flat, and abandon the newly built city, in order to create a x level NPC (same level as flat), esp. in order to farm.

    Alternate Names for Units:
    workers: none
    warriors: none
    scouts: none
    swordsmen: swords, sword
    pikemen: pikes, pike, spearmen, spears
archers: "the unit," arrowmen, bowmen, shooters, snipers
cavalry: cav, cavlary (common misspelling), ponies, horses, horseback units
cataphracts: catas, cataphs, 'phracts, phracts, armored ponies, armored horses, armoured ponies, armoured horses, heavy cavalry
    transporters: trans, 'porters
    ballistae: b'listers, balls, ballis, ballistas
    battering rams: rams, batrams, bats
    catapults: catas, 'pults

Will be edited when I find some new stuff for the alt. names.
All definitions in this post are my original definitions.

I checked and you've got a point. Prestige and honor, though very basic concepts, are not defined anywhere in-game!

And Balt, just read your post, that is HUGE. I'm thinking about making a sectioned version of the Glossary along with the current setup.

Heroes have their own terms i.e.: stats, pol, int, att.
Some others you might want to add:
Meat / meatshield (troops sent as a sacrifice in an attack, usually warriors)
    CL (co-ordinates list)
    Cords / xy (co-ordinates)
Tick (a measure of time in the game relating to regeneration of defences, etc. (6 minutes)
    Troops ( entire army)
    In the green (positive production)
    In the red (negative production)
    Pm (private message)

Sorry if I am just repeating what you have as I haven't been through your list yet.
    PEACE

    Hit: Slang for attacking.

Everything in this glossary is either slang or abbrevation

The definitions will be in the glossary I linked to. Trying to build it in the OP seems like poor planning, since I don't know how long the final copy will be - I suspect it will require multiple posts. When we've gotten to the point where no one can think of any more words, I'll post a completed Glossary in these forums.

That and a few in-game words that aren't defined in-game, such as honor.

Thanks, that's the sort of player this project is aimed at - newer players.

    Great idea!
I saw a thread with these terms but it wasn't developed like this and was more for fun. This would be great for new players. Should be stickied when finished.

A lot of players I have played with use the term "Teletack" myself included. I use this little shock tactic sometimes, depending on the target So this term should be in!
I also hear lyl (loyalty) a lot too.
Try your hardest not to be a goon.
