Thread: Customer Service.

  1. #1

    Default Customer Service.

After reading all the complaints about customer service, or lack there of I decided to conduct an experiment.
I sent two different email to "customer support" on the same day.
One email informed them that I was having trouble purchasing in game coins and requesting assistance.
The other was just a general tech question.

Would anyone like to guess which one got answered and how fast?

I received a response to the payment question within 15 minutes of hitting the send button. I am still waiting for the other. I would like to point out it has been 4 days since both emails have been sent.

    My signature speaks for itself.

It shows they are more worried about people who give them money. Nothing wrong with that.
Would you worry more about someone who payed you, or just some random hobo or something?
They made this game to make money, I think a lot of people forget that's why things are invented.

Ah, but you forget one very important rule of business:

A non-paying player is still a potential paying customer. Treat them as such.
U noć idem, sjećanje jedan trn od zalosne, dalje prema smrti.
Into the night I go, memory a thorn of sorrow, onward toward death.

    So, drifting through the dark
The sympathy of night's mercy inside my heart
Is your life the same? Do ghosts cry tears? Do they feel years?

What makes you think the person with the technical support question ISN'T a paying customer???

The devs can't pay the bills with potential money. At least not this year.

So this make their treatment of those who can't or don't pay, acceptable?

Also, UMGE is funded by a larger company. *******...perhaps you've heard of them?

They're a private company, they can do whatever they want. So absolutely Yes, it is acceptable. The game is free, you get what you pay for.

    No I haven't heard of *******.

They are a gold seller that violates the TOU of other gaming companies. If you google them you can see that they have a particularly bad reputation of business practices. And looking at this game I can't say that was too much of a surprise.

and if they keep stepping on toes they will loose a lot of business....too many people are getting fed up... there are many who would pay if they didn't have to put up with the bs they currently do, even gameforge isn't this bad

Are you kidding? How does who ever is supposed to read the emails know if I have or have not spent hundreds of dollars on this game? Just because the email does not directly talk about money does not mean it is not a valid concern.
Can you imagine is every business that we deal with on a daily business would only talk to you if you were handing them cash.
I agree, the sole purpose of this game from the developers point of view is to make a profit. But ignore a customer for ANY reason is a disaster in the making.
Will I ever spend money on this game, of course not. Not with customer service like this.
