Hypothetical Applications for Dynamite.
Dynamite. "Immediately destroys one building; cannot be used on town hall. no resources will be absorbed from the building as opposed to dismantle'ing (one level at a time.) " (20 cents)
I have recieved two of these and have come up with what I believe to be a useful tactic within dire defensive war scenarios.
What can One constructively do with dynamite..... (other than the obvious Instant blank Tile to reallocate within your city limits.)
These methods can be employed offensively if you merely intend to capture then abandon an enemy city.... thereby significantly decreasing the city's strategic value. The reverse applies as well.... if one of your cities is about to fall into enemy hands these methods can be emplyed as well to aide in your recapture of the city.
Dynamite can be used to blow up key city structures just before the annexation of your city occurrs; thereby crippling the city's capabilities and assisting you in re-occupying your city.
Reminder: As Mentioned above the Town Hall of a city Cannot be Demolished in this fashion.
1) Destroy the City Walls:
Always the most costly structure to replace.... in theory if you destroy a wall in this fashion every defensive structure you purschased *for* the wall would also be obliterated; leaving the invader with no wall.... It would certainly make the city extremely vulnerable for quite some time, and in multicombat area's the situation could easily escalate.....
2) Destroy the Academy:
Without the Academy The City Walls can no longer build most of its fortified units, not to mention it also prevents machinery and enginneering tech bonuses to be applied.
Not to mention that without the academy Most commonly deployed armies require academy techs in order to be built.
3) Destroy the Relief Station.
The relief station's destruction would slow the pace of marching armies of the city in question to a crawl; it is also a resource and time hungry building.
4) Destroy the Feasting Hall.
(UnOrthodox ; Certainly.... but hear me out.)
Without a Feasting Hall, one cannot house hero's to lead expeditions / attacks with. effectively limiting the city to transport capability.
