    But I don't feel that was a tactical error as much as it was a political mistake. I said he would make a bad president. It may have been an incredibly stupid mistake, but as far as tactical planning based on the small scale of the "battlefield," I would bet it was the best plan available to him.

    I stand by my vote for Patton as the best General to lead an army.
    But, he definately had no head for "the big picture" politically.
