The Jaystone Accord was started on server 23 in Freisland on christmas day, 2009 between members of PRIMACY, NEW HOPE and DRAKAR.
Other players of other alliances have agreed to follow the Jaystone accord since that day and it is rapidly gaining popularity for its common sense approach to online gaming in EVONY.
The Jaystone Accord is as follows:
If you hold a valley which is lower than level 10 and you wish to abandon that valley before the regular server maintenance logoff, which automatically advances vacant valleys up to the next level for the express purpose of retaking that valley once it gains a level, than no player who agrees to follow the Jaystone accord can capture it from the original owner.
If such an event does transpire, the attacker of the lake agrees to surrender and abandon the valley in question it to the original owner on notification without hostilities without question or delay.
Simply put, the Jaystone accord is a special peace treaty that is built on respect and should be respected even when 2 alliances go to war.
What is in it for the players that follow the Jaystone accord ?
They get to upgrade all of their valleys to level 10 without concern and get to have level 10 valleys for each successive city that they build or capture from either other players or NPCs.
Due to the anonymous nature of the internet, there will always be gamers who will cite the Jaystone accord to gain valleys that they do not own or have never held and they must upon request, provide sufficent detail to prove the valley was theirs.
Any valley that remains vacant for more than 120 minutes is exempt from the Jaystone accord.
The Jaystone accord does not stop your valleys from being seized in a hostile move of gameplay, it only covers the period of time that is used to abandon a valley and retake it during regular server maintenance for the purpose of upgrading that valley level, however, players that agree to the Jaystone Accord are asked to display respect and understanding to another players valleys whenever possible, nobody likes having valleys plundered, especially when in short supply.
The Jaystone accord is not an alliance agreement.
It is simply an agreement of respect to other players and the right to be respected as a player.
Everyone of any alliance can make their own arrangements and variations to the Jaystone Accord to whatever suits them best as long as the fundamental agreement is to forfeit any captured valleys that were abandoned for the purpose of upgrading that valley by any other player that recognizes the Jaystone Accord.
