I really want to get it, but I couldn't go out yesterday. I'll try today.
Edit: I got the book and read the first chapter. All I can say is that Jordan is an amazing writer.

"People once believed, that when someone dies, a crow carries their soul to the land of the dead. But sometimes, something so bad happens, that a terrible sadness is carried with it and the soul can't rest. Then sometimes, just sometimes the crow could bring that soul back to put the wrong things right"

As I am collecting the series in Dutch, I will have to wait till the translation is on the market.
Wheel of Time is allright, it's not amongst the greatest of series. Jordan has dragged it on WAY too long, he should have finished it in 8 books maximum.
What is and is not considered good or great in literature is subjective. I personally feel The Wheel of Time is one of the greatest series of books I have ever read. Other people would disagree with me such as yourself and you know what ? That is perfectly fine with me! everyone has there own opinions this is mine, that is yours
The Lord Of The Rings series of books which is considered by a LARGE portion of people to be THE BEST fantasy series ever. While I enjoyed the Movies based on those books, I HATED the books. I felt the were written for children at least that is how I saw them when I was reading them. Just another example of how opinions differ depending on the tastes of those doing the reading.

While i can see where the Edu is coming from with the book limit thing im going to have to side with Kaldath, Yes it is frustrating waiting for that new book to come out 4-8 months after the last one but that just makes you all the more eager to get it and read it. I first got into the series by purchasing The Hunt Begins which is the first half of The Great Hunt book (book 2) and have thoroughly enjoyed it ever since... If there ever was a series though that had the affect on me that this one is having on Edu it would have to be the DragonLance series simply because its not just one series theres like 30 different series that are all a Cohesive collection of the same thing basically.. (If you go to my local barnes and nobles they have an entire set of bookshelves just for the books of this series)

They are long epics. About 800-1100 pages. Amasing series, I havn't had time to finish it yet.
