    Angry Spam and Cursing

I for one am very upset that you do nothing to stop spam and cursing in game chat, my God people there are children playing this game. Its seems that you don't care what goes on as long as your getting money from it, and the thought of that is really sick.

though I agree with you that it is a problome, to be fair the to developers they are trying, and I have been told by thouse who know such things that it is acctually much harder than a non-programer, like myself, woud think to stop the use of this sort of language

One of the problems is with the "filters". You have to create a "filter" for each and every single curse word, and people use symbols to "get around" the filters...meanwhile, innocent words like "who", "however", "circumvent" and the like get filtered out...

Also, for some reason only the Dev's know, the word "girl" is filtered out.

when you go out in public to a restaurant with your family and the table behind you is full of college kids and they're cursing do you tell them to censor themselves, NO. When your at the mall and you here people cursing do you tell them to shut up, NO. It's life, sure it's in bad taste and they shouldn't do it, but your kids are gonna be around it sooner or later and the stuff I've seen here isn't half as bad as real life encounters. Just turn on the TV pick a station, you'll find profanity. I love it

I don't know what world you live in but if I go out to a resturarn and here a lot of cursing I speak to the waiter about it, if the resturant can not get them under control I will leave, and as for for hearing cursing out in public I will absolutly say somthing, and as for tv I don't watch programs I find offensive, you say it like all the cursing is inevitable, there is this thing called self restraint, you might want to try it some time.

This thread was obviously started to stir up a debate. For someone so irate he barely posted anything and didn't post any constructive ideas to help the situation. He basically took what he knew would be a very controversial point of view and inserted it here. Congratulations you all have been manipulated. This argument is mute and even if it was a concern, it was brought up in a manner that is not conducive of constructive changes.

Yes kids will learn bad language. But they're not going to learn it here.

They could do like seafight, they get moderators (players) to monitor the chat while playing and give them the ability to either ban or kick spammers and cursers from the chat right on the spot, pending what they did.
