Thread: teleporting nonsense

    Default teleporting nonsense

My alliance is at war and the opposition is flying around the place like helicopters. I thought teleport is supposed to be a tool to escape being wiped-out, and somehow these folks have an abundance of these tools.
What the heck is going on??? It's become an offensive strategy.

yeah apparently weaker alliances are using hit and run tactics wit their teleport items against bigger alliances. It's a sound strategy, if not expensive.

Sometimes the best offense is a good defense.

But they probably bought them/whell/NPC drops/PvP drops.

People have already pioneered this "airborne tactic" by loading a chuck full of troops, food and almost everything, take off and strike. I believe evony will do something to this script soon.

In fact, adv tele isn't fair anyway, they crippled the teleporter depriving march yet they allow the teleporter to be attacked. WTF right?

If you're 'Vance jumping and you're worried about getting attack, you probably shouldn't be doing it.

There's nothing like setting up a city to be ready to take on anything, then landing it right in the middle of an enemy cluster of cities.

    Fun, fun, fun.

It's not a good strategy in fact. Provided we have too many redundant scripts, random till close enough and it has to be done fast enough within a time frame to simultaneous strike. Silly but fun. And painful.

Stand up, hook up, shuffle off and jump jump jump .. pikemen, warriors and cavalries *lol*

How do you know they're teleporting?

I (and virtually any other experienced player) can cap an NPC anywhere on the grid with precisely 30 waves from 3 of my cities, all landing within 30 seconds of one another (thanks to camp-time).

Even if you have your cities surrounded by NPCs, it won't help you.

Hell no, 'vance it. Let them know that they have 24 hours before everything they've worked for is removed.

As I said, it's something to do if you're a big player. Not for your 100k archers you've finally finished. do it when you've got 500k and atleast 250k of the meatshields.

This sounds like a good move, but say I get wise to you jumping an NPC next to me, I can send an attack to take the NPC before you, or if timed right from you.

Also, I'd rather start off with a full compliment of wall defenses.

Extremely unlikely, unless you're farming it at the time and happen to notice the loyalty drop.

I routinely cap NPCs by landing 2 spearhead waves at :00 and :05, and 28 additional waves from :10 and :30, and if I really want to take my time, I can use camp-time to land each subsequent wave precisely at :15 (usually don't, since this takes more time to set up).

Really, the only heads up you have is if you happen to farm it within that 30 second time period.

After that, its mere minutes to move several hundred thousand troops there.

Frankly, not many players look at map view all that often either, so its unlikely the typical player would notice it until they have a million troops coming their way.

Err .. and with phtacts too. Anyway there'll be no second time, it's crazy. I forebode evony will do something to that script.

Just what I'm not happy about is adv tele. The party who use it should also be protected since he is barred from march. You're still a sitting duck no matter where you land, war mongers are roaming all over the place searching for new targets.
