Thread: Had it, bye.

    Default Had it, bye.

Took an hour to sign on, within minutes the screen went grey.

No chance of a vacation, or inactivity, been away a day and a half (work) , robbed blind.

Medal situation appaling, as is the Michaelangelo script stuff. Won't spend any more money on the game (20 Dollars already invested), as I cannot see (aside from running some **** poor third rate servers) what they actually do for the money except count it.

I've had it. I wish all of you the very best of luck - if you weren't in at the medal farming stage of the game, or have deep - and I mean deeeeeep pockets - you are boned, and you are wasting your time. You will eventually be raped until you see your population bleed away to nothing. No matter how fast you train troops - without the medals , and the |Mic. scripts, - you are fighting a losing battle.

I appreciate, Moderators, this is not a constructive post. I am sure that you will declare it such, and close/remove it. But it has acted as a rather cathartic release. I know that the Chinese chaps @ HQ dont give a flying f. whether I leave or not, but I must say that, until the whole meadal business started, and then the dawning of the realisation that possibly $100 or more needs to be spent, I really enjoyed civony/evony.. My coordinates are 6, 92 and 6, 91 - one has a level 10 barracks and a level 10 academy, well developed fields (many level 8) . Help yourself. I'm off to waste my army away on a chap called Techranger (sorry nothing personal)

I am going to go out on a limb here and say something that no one else is saying (that I have seen anyway). And before I do I want to say that I am only playing server 6 so I don't have lag problems but am going crazy because no one can get medals from combat in server 6 and I will have to quit soon if they don't fix it.

This is a pretty impressive game in a couple of ways. Lots of "hooks" that make it more colourful and engaging than other games of its type.

I suspect that the game developers are struggling to deal with their huge success in drawing in so many players and do not yet have the technical ability to stay on top of important bug fixes while increasing the user base by tens of thousands per day. It is hard to project plan for success on the scale I suspect they are experiencing because you can't predict in advance how many customers you will get.

From their recruitment adds on the front page it looks like they are trying to ramp up to handle their success and I hope they succeed soon.

Having been involved in large scale software projects in the past, what might appear on the surface as a simple problem can be very difficult to fix in a controlled way without other problems being caused. This isn't just a case of some whizz kid programmer logging in, typing a few lines of code and kicking back and having a coffee. There are lots of testing/qa issues etc.

Anyway, I wish the developers the best and it is nice to see good games coming out of China. And this company will make a LOT of money if they get their technical issues sorted without having to resort to sneaky ways of making money.

It's a Chinese MMO Company, anyhow there was no racism in their posts, no slander of china in any way...

    Dude your whack

    Back to topic...

I really think they should have reset and givin all the people who purchased coins, more coins...

Beta shouldn't carry on to live.... Really is an unfair situation.
All of the testers we're able to exploit numerous glitches and exploits that are removed...

I signed up the day server 1 went live. the forum posts by admins said beta had closed, and that the game WAS live. the only place that even mentioned beta were some of the banner ads. they were charging money at that point, and there was a notice that the server would be free from resets.

Anyone who thinks playing with the 'testers' is unfair is free to go to server 6, or whatever the latest server may be.

    as for this:

it does have some relevance when communication from developers and administrators has been so sparse, in part due to language differences.
    words are funny things
    they can explain, or confuse
    please use them wisely

For one, yes, there is relevance to where they are from, as there are cultural differences (ie - expectations) that are affiliated with western users. The remarks of the initial poster were not slanderous.

Next, I agree, the game is highly flawed. It's basically just TribalWars with Microsoft's Age of Empires graphics, placed into a more visually appealing interface. It's certainly not special beyond that. Why are they working on a sequel when they also acknowledge that they are not up to par on the results of the vanilla game?

Last, what feedback have we actually gotten? A few Customer Service people trying to be polite, but who's only contact is through the head moderator to the company? Basically the blind is leading the blind. And have you noticed how quickly threads are locked, or attention is diverted from the threads topic? It's funny to me, at least, to see the parallel to the Chinese government. (censored in 3... 2...)

But, alas, the game is new, and all new games have bugs, user population spurts, and other issues that usually are resolved shortly thereafter.

So cry about it, quit, deal with it, or whatever. It's just the fad of the month.

There is none, and continuing to do so says more about the commenters, than it does the developers.
