Thread: Do we need to control?

    And there it is...

People are greedy and must learn control...

We must all really help eachother and live together..

But places where ppl are poor, havoc is released..
People get killed by the country's "army"..
And there isnt really a shortage in food, but a shortage in places where food is really needed..
And kids that do not eat, well that is their problem..they can be glad they have food as a option to eat if they still wanna live...

And that is only my opinion.

    WAL-MART looking at South Africa

    Planet Retail 22 Oct 2009

Bloomberg, citing local retailer Pick n Pay, reports that Wal-Mart may be looking at entering the South African market in the next five years and has been "sniffing around" for opportunities in Africa's largest economy.

Bloomberg quoted Pick n Pay CEO Nick Badminton at a presentation in Johannesburg. Pick n Pay, South Africa's second-largest grocery chain, met with Wal-Mart "out of courtesy," he added. The world's largest retailer also met distributors in South Africa, Badminton said.

I am not American and I never seen a Walmart store. I honestly have no idea what one looks like.
Anyway I'm just trying to bring some fact into the matter. It goes deeper me thinks, In Africa there a lack of the appropriate amounts of food to the population that exists(<--Carefully worded) because of, maybe 3 main reasons.
    1) The soil is generally infertile due to droughts
    2) The huge population to the amount of farming land available
or 3) Poorness of the countries there themselves.
    (I know I'm leaving out a lot)

    Could control change this?

yea quite alot id say...though some are true..people cannot fend for them selves and they r poor coz of political reasons too...

Political reasoning(the part of the control):the goverments of some countries kill their ppl for the most obsurd reasons(dunno what they r yet) and that is where control must be exercised..

Ppl are greedy, so they must try to change that and share..

It is conceivable that the non-impoverished world could band together to help feed areas of the world that lack irrigation, fertile soil, and the capital needed to feed themselves. But it's not going to happen. With the worldwide population sky-rocketing, people will only help themselves, their family, and those they know. The threat of an over-populated world keeps a lot of help from arriving to those that need it the most.

Here is another great thing people(some of them) are doing to keep the world from becoming over populated: family planning..

This could help the world from becoming overpopulated if people control that aspect of families and PLAN..

    Issue now closed...too much debating

Too true. If an African family decides to have 5 kids they can't feed then how can we help. And Politics is probably a much bigger factor than food.

    New topic?

The best thing we can do to lower the staggering population increase is to teach illiterate women to read and write.
