I have to add that I have lived probably more than a third of my life without those technologies. Most of that time was by choice. In that time I developed quite a few skills. The one thing I lacked was any real musical talent, so I would have either a radio or cassete/CD player most of the time because I do like music a lot. You just have to trust me when I say that you won't die without your gadgets. In fact you might even start to live a little bit more.
