Truce is supposed to work anytime, but "en route" attacks still hit your city.
However there's some dispute as to whether it's working this way or not. It might work that way on older servers, but not newer servers. Or maybe vice versa that. There's some confusing posts about it on the forums, and I have had the opportunity to test this one way or the other.
I will prefix this post with the fact that I have NOT used a truce in a LONG TIME ( especially since I haven't played in the last two months ) But on server 1 I have used a Truce with attacks inbound. I was able to truce up just fine the incoming attacks were able to hit but no further attacks were possible. I have also had this happen to my attacks. I had launched attacks against a city and when I went to scout it before the attacks landed learned it was in truce and could not scout. I let the attacks land anyway as there we no on members of this persons alliance close enough to have reinforced in the short amount of time it took my attacks to land.
"People once believed, that when someone dies, a crow carries their soul to the land of the dead. But sometimes, something so bad happens, that a terrible sadness is carried with it and the soul can't rest. Then sometimes, just sometimes the crow could bring that soul back to put the wrong things right"
Maybe it's my jackass nature, but I just have to know...
am I the only one who read this and thought it was absolutely hillarious and ingenius? I mean, I haven't heard of it before and I've been around a while, and I've never thought of it, and apparently the most common human reaction is that it's a loser move; but alas I thought it's an awesome idea.
You load sixteen tons, what do you get
Another day older and deeper in debt
Saint Peter don't you call me 'cause I can't go
I owe my soul to the company store
