    Reading this and your other post, it seems to me like YOU should go down there and do it yourself. You seem to have all the answers to their problems. Maybe try figuring out how much Rebar would cost, plus how many/few places in Haiti sell Rebar? :P Then, figure out how many of Haiti's populace can afford that cost.

    OP, though...idea MAJOR fail.

    well scientists have been saying for years that hipspanola was gonna have a huge earthquake, we've told them they're on a fault line and not building properly, we've offered to help them, they squander the help, You teach a turd worlder how to make concrete with aggregate, they add too much aggregate to save costs and build cheap. You reap what you sow can be a really sad lesson to learn sometimes.

    Y'know, it's really sad when someone uses a tragedy like this as an excuse to say "I/We told you so!" Plus, there are still some things we're learning in the US, as well. Your opinion is duly noted, though the name calling was very unnecessary.
