Open Letter to Dawnseeker
I received an infraction about something I posted in support of LORDCS
My posting was this in regards to LORDCS' posting of a mail he received from a moderator who seemed a bit terse with him in a naturally frustrating position
"It seems that the Moderators are getting pretty big in their britches with that mail you were sent"
From the looks of it the only time one can get a response to anything by moderators or representatives is when you question their ability and or hubris at this. Since I received the mail from Dawnseeker This is to him
I am sure you get thousands upon thousands of emails regarding other issues and you were contacted by a moderator about my comment and thus why I received an infraction. If you did happen to look through the entire thread and see the context of my comment you would have noticed that it may have contributed to the essence.
I will not bore you with rantings about customer service or responses- I know you guys are working your hardest to make Evony a great game. But Automated responses like this and also the context of the entire thread from which my infraction generated reveals how little Evony cares about singular players. But like any businessman knows after awhile all those little frustrated Singular Players become a pretty big group of spending clients who go on to other games.
Thank you.
There is a general feeling from people in every server who feel that Evony is truly lacking in building a relationship between the Customers and the employees. We all understand this is a big game, and that with 150,000 active users (Lets not kid ourselves about the 15million). Many of us who have a great time playing the game and gladly paid money simply feel that the lack of communication and help when we need it shows either apathy or ineptitude. For me to get an infraction for a comment that was both pertinent to that thread and also to major issues with the game and community as a whole shows that those in positions of authority are more worried about reaching 20million dead accounts then the 150,000 people who actually play and love the game.

Who cares? It's just one infraction. Half the time Moderators swing the ban hammer blindly. A lot of them let emotions rule their decisions.
For example, you post something not related to the topic at hand and you're not the first to do so in this particular thread you're given the infraction.
They call this "spamming," but I highly doubt the other users are given infractions over this one person.
Oh, and if moderatora like a player they can elect him (have a vote) to be considered as a moderator. Usually they're made a moderator.
Also, you'll be given an infraction for this. Although, since you're a party involved you're allowed to share that information.

I don't care about the infraction; My hope was that this would be about the bigger issue of the relationship between the players and the Company running Evony. It seemed hilarious to me that the moderators (Who I am sure does a fine job acting as a conduit between the Company and the players who try to help make the game better) would flag this and other complaints.

LordCS is in a frustrating situation, and we have sympathy for him and for what he must be going through. We are working very hard to resolve his issue.
That being said, he has been venting his frustrations by spamming the living daylights out of the forums and our pm boxes. While I understand and can ignore a good bit of that because he has good reason to be upset, it doesn't help anyone for you to chime in with a rather disrespectful comment. By the way, he's spamming the moderators about his account too, and they have NO CONTROL of it and NO ABILITY to help him, which we've all explained to him. So if a moderator finally got fed up with having 46 new pm's in his inbox, all from LordCS, then maybe that moderator was as justified in being a bit short as CS is in spamming a bit.
My advice? When someone feels the need to post out information or problems that are best done in private, stay out of it. I won't infract you for this. I will leave your letter for Dawnseeker to respond to himself. But for the record, Koolaid is giving you bad information. Just because you are a party to a communication does not give you the right to post it publicly. Our rules are very clear: Posting of private communications without the consent of ALL parties involved is against the rules. You didn't have Dawnseeker's permission to post the infraction mail so I am glad you didn't.
I'm closing this thread. It's a letter to Dawnseeker, and he can respond in a closed thread. Nobody else needs to.

The Tech Support forum is for identifying and solving technical issues. I deleted and infracted the people that were posting in Tech Support and weren't contributing to solving any problems, because clutter actually makes things more difficult.
You posted an opinion in a support forum about an issue that does not pertain to you. I will delete any post that falls into that category. That forum is for solving problems, and posts which are not part of the solution will continue to be deleted.
