    Default How to take over the Entire World in Evony

    Evony is vast. With a 500 x 500 grid this give 250,000 squares, so taking over the world is only a dream for many.

    However it may still be possible, and this is how I see the scenario unfolding.

    1) 16 alliances from the old servers, agree that they will work together, on the game plan. These should be highly motivated, war harden and experienced members.

    2) As soon as a new server is released, each alliance takes over a country, so each alliance has a country. The goal in the first month is to become powerfull and build up the cities and armies, and the main goal is to NPC every empy flat they can find within their territory.

    With 100 active players, each player will need to NPC 50 to 100 flats on average. This will prevent hostiles from moving in, and with long supply lines, the enemies will soon be reduced to 1 city alliances with 0 population, and no one to call on for support.

    3) In a few months, the server will only consist of 16 alliances in coaltion with each other, and the enemy will consist of 1 city per player with 0 population. At this point, it is pre agreeded that the even vs odd number alliance ranked by prestige will go to war with each other, and the process is repeated until 8,4,2 and finally one alliance remains who controls the entire world except for burned out 1 player cities.

    4) This alliance would have taken over the world.

    Their is one fly in this ointment. Servers cost money, and im not sure if Evony would appreciate a server that normally servers 50000 players, becoming a playground for a few thousand alliance members.

    They could reset the NPC's to flats at anytime, defeating this technique.

    However I suspect that evony uses virtual servers, and they would allow this, if we could get buy in from Evony Management in advance.

    As the number of players is reduced, evony management could reduce the resources allocated to the "take over the world" virtual server.

    What does everybody think. Is anybody interested in taking over the world.

    I don't think that will ever happen....

    How do you expect 16 alliances to get together even if they did.... either the players or the alliances will fall apart from the main plan.
    It's hard to keep some alliances on one plan for so long.

    And even if they did conquer the whole server...After everything is done...the players and alliances will declare war against each other which then opportunities will arise for the defeated players to rise up

    No because even if they managed it (which would be unlikely) the people on that server would do the same.

    I reckon there would be (as well as the 16 alliances from old servers) one other big and dominant alliance in that area and one of these alliances new alliances would defeat the older one. There is also the risk of the alliance of the 16 alliances falling apart.

    I reckon the rest of the alliances on that server would also band together.

    Abd Constantine II made a good point that this group would become bored and war between themselves so there would never be a real ruler of the server.

    I still think it is possible - but a lot more unlikely than you think and a lot, lot harder.

    And also...

    What do ya think the 16 alliances & their members are gonna do once this is all over and the server is all their's?
    (Answer): They are gonna get bored because of no excitement in the server & leave the server or else declare war against themselves (as mentioned before) or keep on attacking NPC's and valleys.

    And when they declare war against themselves...Then opportunitties will come for the defeated players to rise once again.And the server will return to normal status leaving those alliances fighting against themselves for eternity...ha ha ha..It ain't so funny..ha ha.

    In a much simpler context, this game is, more or less a cycle of wars. Once you
    have dominated the world (as you assume), there will always come a time when the cycle needs to be fulfilled once more. You may rule for a while and then struggle again to dominate.

    To maintain consistency and flow I have also posted the draft rules here also.

    Did your alliance ever want to take over an entire server, and rule all of Evony? This has been a dream for many, and the ultimate challenge to a great Game, that so far lacks one critical feature; there is no end game.

    It has been almost a year since Evony has been released; no Alliance has conquered an entire server. Some have come close via large coalitions, and control has been nominal at best, but they must share their triumph with many others, and the coalition could unravel at any time.

    Now this has all changed, with the first ever Evony user community driven challenge:




    The Evony World Takeover Challenge



    The Premise:

    The goal is for 16 alliances to takeover one country on a new server, and eliminate any other alliances by NPC,ing every flat in their respective country, and them systematically reducing non alliance members to a non threat status (1 city, 0 population state). The details of accomplishing this will be covered in more detail below.

    Once the 16 alliances have control of the server, the even numbered alliances will declare war against the odd number alliances, as ranked by prestige at a predetermined time. The winner of the war between the even and odd will be determined, when once alliance loses a certain number of cities, or in the case of a stalemate; the alliance that has lost the least amount of cities, at a predetermined time, will be declared the loser, and they will bow out the game gracefully.

    This process is repeated for the remaining eight, four, and finally the remaining two teams, where an ultimate winner will be declared. They will become the ruler of the world, and their names will be Glorified Forever in the Halls of Evony.

    Who can Apply:

    We are looking for 1600 team players that can play by the rules, and who can accept defeat gracefully. Remember, we are going to have 1500 people, who will fail, and if you have the slightest idea, that you will not accept this, violate the rules, or try to sabotage this contest, then don?t bother applying.

    In addition you should have an in-depth understanding of the game Evony, and you can hit the ground building and fortifying quickly. This is no place for beginners.

    The challenge will not occur for at least 30 days, so now is the time to come up to speed on your Evony skills and knowledge. Read the forum guides (Especially the sticky ones), they are very useful.

    Once the final draft of the rules are finished (after user input), I will canvas the top 3 alliances on every server that is more than 4 months old, to find battle hardened veterans, that have the skill set and discipline to lead the 16 alliances. They will most likely bring along their best warriors.

    The balance of the 1600 slots will be filled on a first come first serve basis by email (evony messaging, does not provide the flexibility I need). More details will be announced once the leadership positions have been resolved for each alliance.


    The Rules:

    This is a massive undertaking, and requires the cooperation of 1600 team players, so unfortunately we need rules. This is a draft so feel free to make suggestions or clarifications in this thread. I?m sure the rule list will get a lot longer, by the time we are done.

    1) Secrecy

    Stealth and Surprise is required, to achieve this undertaking, until the 16 countries are secured by the 16 Alliances. For this reason the game will not start on the next new server, but sometime in the future, to add to the element of surprise.

    To maintain secrecy, no one will mention that they are playing in the World Takeover Challenge, not in World Chat, not even in Alliance Chat. You will act like any other normal alliance, until the goal of securing the 16 countries are complete. Your goal within the first week, to NPC every available flat, within your radius of control, while building a strong army and fortifications, with a steady supply of materials and goods coming in. If anybody outside the alliance is asking why you are NPC?ing flats, tell them it is to protect squares around your city. You should be working towards higher titles and rank also so you can NPC more cities at once. Once 96 percent of all flats are occupied, no new players can join the game. The faster you do this the safer you are.

    I would recommend that all flats are NPC?ed, and additional city flats needed gotten from the pillage of non-member alliances.

    Also, during the first week or two, many people will leave the game, and Evony will convert there cities into flats (unless they bought Evony cents). These will provide a source for more cities, and you should NPC the rest.

    2) The battle for Control

    Most players on new servers are new, and they will be swept away by the tide of war. When new players get in trouble, they usually teleport away. This will no longer be an option.

    There will be some veteran?s players looking for a challenge, they will probably clue in, but not before it is too late. It is your duty, once your alliance has obtained control of your territory; to help out any struggling alliance, by wiping out the enemy.

    3) The battlefield is ready

    Once all alliances are secure and the enemy is reduced to (1 city, 0 population) per player. The clock will start ticking. You have 10 days to prepare for war. On the 10th day after hostilities with non WTC players have ceased at 12:01 AM, The even number alliances will declare war against the Odd number Alliances, ranked by Prestige.

    4) War Begins

    War will rage, until one combined alliance loses a net loss of 50 cities, from when they started, with the determination being made at 12:01AM of each day. After seven days, if no combined alliance has lost 50 cities, then on 12:01 AM after 7 days exactly, the combined alliance that loss the most cities will cease playing and exit the game gracefully. These cities will become free for the plundering of the remaining alliances.


    5) War Continues to the final conclusion.

    The same process will continue with the final eight, four and finally two Alliances, and the winner will be declared the ruler of Evony, and their deeds will be Gloried forever in the Evony Forum.

    6) Enforcing Discipline

    I have some ideas, but I am seeking input from the user community.
    That?s it?s for the rules. Dates and times will be spelled out in detail, so there is no confusion, once milestones are achieved.

    Additional Comments:

    I think it would be a good idea, that each alliance will have 10 cities in everybody else alliances territory as a beachhead for the second phase of the game.

    Also I was considering a $5 entry fee (payable to evony for evony cents) as compensation of holding one of their servers hostage for a month. That would be $8000 dollars if all 1600 people contributed. Also I believe Evony uses virtual servers, so they can allocate the computing resources that the game really needs.

    I also suspect they can easily size the grid like having a world with only a 100 x 100 grid. As we start organizing this, I fully expect to hear from Evony Management. I fully expect it to be postive, as it will be a Win-Win situation between the Evony User Community and Evony Management.


    Now it?s your turn for constructive comments and suggestions. If you have something to say that will help make this run smoother, let me know. I will take all the suggestions in the next week and make a final draft. On the final draft, I will looking for comments on errors in wording, or for making things more straightforward only.

    We done this on server 15, with just one state, but the coalition fell apart after a few months.

    All it requires is discipline and commitment. I see this already amonst the top alliances on some of the older servers.

    Im sure we can get 16 alliances, that can agree to play by "take over the world" rules, amonst the veteran players.

    It would be a exciting refeshing challenge, to those that are stuck in a cold war on the old servers.

    We just need a commitment from Evony, that they wont reset the NPC's to flats half way thru the challenge.

    And in references to the alliances fighting amonst themselves, that is the plan once all 16 alliances secure all territory, execpt that even number alliances play odd number alliances, ranked by prestige. We have predetermine conditions for defeat, and the 8 losers bow out, then its between the top 4 then top 2.

    The Host, Vice Host of every would hold everybodies passwords in their alliance, and whoever breaks the rules gets all every city except one NPC, and then expelled.

    Once we have an ultimate winner, yes we celebrate their accomplishment forever in Evony, and then we release the server to be reset.

    They take over the world an then what? abandon the game coz is does not pose any challenges? I'm sure Evony admins don't want that.

    Besides, that would also mean no real life for players... I have time now to be online 5-6 hrs a day, but in a month I might only have time to check my emails, who knows.... ( I'm just an example)

    Let's keep the game fun and exciting.

    I didn't mean Abandon the game....I said leave that specific server and join another Server.
    And i don't think they are gonna take over the World (Server) anyway. It will be like making things happen in Dreamland
