You claimed to be listening. Clearly you are not, as I gave a 100% non-debatable analogy to how doing what was done would not be accepted if it was done based on selecting a particular race of people to treat differently.
As was said by the OP, there is an absolute unwillingness to look at the customer's perspective. As I said to you before, I sincerely hope that when you experience a similar situation, you receive better treatment, and can reflect upon this situation more objectively.
